One thing that excites both me and Brock is candy making at Christmas time! He loves it because he gets to eat all this homemade candy; I love it because it makes me feel more apart of his family. Every year at Christmas time, the women in Brock's family (Hargrove side) get together and make candy. Then we lay it all out and everyone takes a little from it all. This year I went easy and made rice crispy treats...easy, but soooo delicious. When I got home, Brock was disappointed though because I did not stay for the no bake chocolate oatmeal cookies. Those are his favorite.
My mom asked me if we could do something like that for my side of the family...except not the candy making part, ha! I am not sure what else I could do with my mom and sisters and aunts and cousins...any ideas?

Christmas Parties
Last night Brock and I went to my school's Christmas Party. I was a little nervous to go because I wasn't sure how much fun I would have or Brock would have for that matter. He puts up with me but I wasn't sure how he would like hanging out with 30+ of others like me. Luckily, he fit right in with all the other husbands. They seemed to all be connected by hunting and that's all I heard them talk about. After dinner we played BUNKO! I did quite well and Brock...well he was in the loser's ring for the most part, ha!
Afterwards I was invited back to one of the teachers' homes to have some drinks. It was so much fun! I was by far the youngest there and the only one without children of my own, but that did not seem to matter much! We laughed and talked and talked and laughed! It was a great ending to the night.
Wish we had other Christmas work parties to go to, but I guess if Brock had a company Christmas Party, it would consist of him, me, his brother-n-law and his wife...doesn't sound like much of a party. Then again, just enough people to play banana grams though :).

New Beginnings

This year has already started off on the right foot...
I am married to an amazing man and have finally graduated from TCU!
I decided to start a blog for Brock and I since we are now married and are starting a new life together. That sounds funny seeing as how we have dated for close to five years, but I am now called Wifey and he is my husband...this year will be pretty much our first everything as a married couple...and Valentines is the first to start with!
